The pair went back and forth on Twitter with barb after funny barb, and at one point there was a jumper and Jake Gyllenhaal got involved.
They eventually decide to call a ‘truce’ to the recent bickering, with Ryan reaching out to The Greatest Showman with an olive branch of sorts. Taking to Twitter, he wrote: ‘As a gesture of goodwill, I’m gonna make a beautiful ad for his company, Laughing Man Coffee. Can’t wait!’
However that went gloriously wrong, with Hugh calling Reynolds a ‘total fucking asshole’ for all the hugh-ge puns the Deadpool actor dropped.
He had said: ‘Hugh could be behind such a Hugh-roic company? Hmm, you guessed it. My friend, Hugh Jackman. The loving and caring man who created Laughing Man. Make every cup count.’
Well, if that wasn’t enough to call the feud back on, the following Twitter exchange after Hugh’s film won a Grammy, is.
The Greatest Showman won the Grammy for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Medium – an award Deadpool 2 had been in the running for. Awkward.

Jackman posted a video celebrating his win on Twitter, and Reynolds couldn’t help but to respond – with one of his awful puns: ‘#ThankHughNext.’
Last November High posted a video of his dog defecating on a photo of Reynolds as Deadpool. Almost two years before that, Hugh tweeted a photo of himself with fans in Beijing, to which Ryan had cheekily clapped back: ‘Pretty sure those are protesters.’
We eagerly await Hugh’s response.
